Enveloped by silence and the still winter sky against my inhale pulling the chilled air backwards into my inner world. Limitless-like. This thin layer of ice that is beginning to melt a little. 空虚. Midnight. No wind. No waves. The empty boat is flooded. With moonlight. I acknowledge the many communities of Indigenous cultures of the Northern Paiute, Eastern Shoshone, Shoshone-Bannock, Nimiipuu, Lemi-Shosho I welcome my life by turning my usual ways of knowing upside down. I begin to experience the sensation of a hidden away world more directly. I am struck by a surprising amount of loss in this - a courageous kind of movement. I begin to make space It takes a certain kind of strength to sit quietly. And openly.
